KS Energy Services is a growing construction company that installs underground pipes and cables that power our lives—from lighting offices to heating homes. As the company continues to grow we are looking for a Supply Chain Intern to help make sure the company stays on track to reach our goals. 

Nature of Work:

This intern position will work full-time in the Summer of 2021, with potential to continue part-time in the Fall of 2020.The Supply Chain Intern will provide administrative and reporting support, run scheduled and ad-hoc reports, data entry and other support functions. intern will be responsible for a variety of small and large-scale projects. These projects include but are not limited to investigating and analyzing various service discrepancies, supporting the Supply Chain team with ad-hoc analysis projects, and process improvement initiatives. KS Supply Chain team members manage multiple aspects of our Supply Chain, including program negotiations, supplier onboarding, and data management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Duties listed below may vary in terms of importance and other duties may be added or eliminated as this position develops.

  • Supports functional staff by performing basic and repetitive assignments.
  • Participates in a variety of assignments in cross-functional areas.
  • Performs specific and limited portions of less complex assignments for leadership.
  • Assists with developing and managing supplier relationships, including cost and operations-based negotiations.
  • Onboards suppliers, including system setup, contract loading, documentation practices and ensures successful transition into the ERP system.
  • Assists with inventory maintenance and analysis
  • Provides metrics and reports to leadership.

  1. Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
  3. Ability to maintain professionalism and provide high customer service.
  4. Ability to work independently, or with a team.
  5. Minimum of sophomore standing
  6. Preferred GPA 3.0 or higher
