Description

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance & Accounting Intern to join our team.

Nature of Work:

Provide support to finance, accounting, and other back office functions. Tasks primarily include processing transactions and maintaining entries for: accounts payable, journal entries, vendor invoices, statements, billings, or other documents. There is also potential to assist in other accounting and finance activities including month-end closings, forecasting, profitability analysis and revenue and fixed asset tracking.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares payments by accruing expenses; assigning account numbers; requesting disbursements; reconciling accounts.
  • Provide accurate and timely details for accounting entry and processing.
  • Review and post invoices.
  • Prepares general ledger entries by maintaining records and files; may assist in reconciling accounts.
  • Runs and prepares routine financial reports for analysis. Perform variance analysis as requested by leadership.
  • Maintain and organize customer billing information to ensure invoice accuracy and integrity.
  • Prepare client invoices by collecting and analyzing data according to contract standards.
  • Special projects as assigned.

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Aptitude for math, and proficiency with computers including strong MS Excel knowledge. MS Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail. High level of efficiency, accuracy, and responsibility.
  • Process & project orientated ass you’ll be partnering to set up new processes and controls to implement efficiencies to better serve our internal & external customers.
  • Motivation and strong desire to take on new challenges and learn as much as possible.
