KS Energy Services is a leading provider of underground construction and maintenance services to the natural gas and electric utility industry and natural gas pipeline industry. During the course of this internship, you will learn from successful managers and build skills in the following areas:

• Project Management, including time management and budgeting
• Problem Solving
• Customer Service
• Leadership

Duties listed below may vary in terms of importance and other duties may be added or eliminated as this position develops.

• Visit work sites, interact with field team members and address challenges that arise.
• Prepare & manage work schedules for company crews as well as subcontractors.
• Review expenses and partner with Procurement to ensure spending is approved and within budget.
• Assist in completing production reports and project tracking sheets.
• Identify patterns and recommend opportunities for improvement.
• Recommend ideas to streamline processes to create efficiencies for managers and office support staff.

Required Competencies:

1. Currently enrolled in a four-year degree program in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or another closely related field.
2. Preferred 3.0 cumulative GPA.
3. Minimum Sophomore standing.
4. Strong desire to learn hands-on business management.
5. Excellent communication, organization & time management skills.
6. Demonstrated ability to deliver a high level of customer service.
7. Knowledge of Microsoft Office.
8. Ability to positively influence others and develop strong workplace relations.
9. A valid driver’s license, with a good driving record.
10. Ability to successfully pass pre-employment screenings.

1. Ability to read & understand maps and construction prints.
2. Familiarity with basic OSHA regulations.
