Job Description:

KS Energy Services is looking for an industrial meter technician to upgrade and replace industrial gas meters. The ideal individual will be safety oriented, strong communication skills, and have hands-on experience with a wide variety of industrial meters.
 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties listed below may vary in terms of importance and duties are subject to change as this position develops.

  • Follow assigned project schedule to safely replace industrial capacity gas meters.
  • Confirm no leaks are present.
  • Calibrate meters to specification and document work performed meets utility standards.
  • Perform relights in an industrial setting once the meter has been rebuilt or replaced.
  • Respond to customer questions or concerns.

 

Required Competencies: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and /or ability required.   • 2 years of industrial fitting experience including familiar with rotary meters, M-sets, and Submeters. Experience working with multi-meters and/or multi-headers highly desired.
  • Well-developed communication skills to ensure all stake holders are informed on work and progress.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver high level of customer service.
  • Clean driving record.

Work Conditions/Environment:

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

  • Work will be performed in the field at the job site in all weather conditions.
  • This is a physical position requiring ability to lift up to 100 pounds, climb ladders, bend, stoop, and twist to access a variety of work locations.
  • Union position with equivalent pay and benefits. Overtime may be required.

This position will be located around the Milwaukee, Wisconsin area.
