Nature of Work:

We are seeking an efficient, safety-minded Operator to join our team. This position is responsible for operating a variety of equipment used in the construction maintenance and repair of underground utilities.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Duties listed below may vary in terms of importance and other duties may be added or eliminated as this position develops.

  • Operate equipment of various sizes and weights to prepare worksite, dig excavations, and move materials.
  • Ensure equipment is operated & transported in a safe & secure way.
  • Perform routine inspection & preventive maintenance on assigned equipment & refers defects or repairs to the supervisor; cleans equipment.
  • Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, and work site or traffic laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Must be a member of Operating Engineers Local 139
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years’ experience
  • Class A CDL 
  • Knowledge of proper operation of heavy equipment as well as safety standards
  • Experience operating a Track Machine and Rubber Tire Backhoe
  • Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Keen attention to detail and situational awareness to maintain the safety of the work environment
