Description

We are seeking an efficient, self-motivated Safety Manager to join our team. 

This professional position is responsible for ensuring employee adherence to safety policies & procedures and maintaining strong client relationship through the local management of company safety programs. This position acts as a consultant to the area managers and reports directly to the safety director, covering the Appleton and Fox Valley areas.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties listed below may vary in terms of importance and other duties may be added or eliminated as this position develops.

  • Help build and maintain a safe work culture.
  • Audit workers in the field to verify compliance with company and government safety policies and standards.
  • Participate in client meetings as the designated company safety representative.
  • Generate ideas and implement improvements to current safety practices.
  • Assist with post-incident response: secure evidence for post incident investigations, collect post incident data, and make sure all injuries are reported in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with the development or alteration of health and safety plans, process hazard assessments, and other customer-driven documents.

Required Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.   1. Bachelor’s Degree is required.
  2. Minimum of 5 years of safety program experience, preferably within the Utility Construction Industry or other very similar industry.
  3. Knowledge of OSHA and DOT Safety requirements.
  4. A highly motivated self-starter who is able to prioritize workload.
  5. Basic Microsoft Office Skills
  6. Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas one on one, and in large groups
  7. Demonstrates ability to positively influence others, and develop strong workplace relationships.

  1. Most of the work (90%) will be performed in the field at the job site in all weather conditions.
  2. Some work is performed in an office setting.
